## Which links are affiliate links

Mainly the hosting links to **Bluehost** (through the Impact affiliate network). Occasionally other tools I mention, such as Fiverr for logo design, may also be affiliate links. Affiliate links are marked with `rel="sponsored"` in the page code and I say so in the text near the first one in every guide.

## How I choose what to recommend

I’ve built sites on most of the popular hosts over the last twenty years. I recommend Bluehost to beginners because it’s cheap for the first term, includes a free domain, has a money-back period and live support, and their WordPress install is genuinely one click. If I thought something else was better for a first travel blog, I’d link to that instead, affiliate or not. ## Paid services

I also offer a paid “build it for me” service ($100 flat fee). That’s a direct service, not an affiliate arrangement. Everything else on the site, including answering your questions, is free.
